Mission Updates
Survey Equipment Training Keeps Army Engineers Mission-Ready
Learning an advanced reconnaissance survey system isn’t like learning how to ride a bike.
“Surveying is a skill set that is perishable,” said Product Director Combat Terrain Information Systems (PD CTIS) Surveyor and Trainer Natalie Martinez-Vega. “If you don’t use it, you totally lose it.”
Constant Modernization: The Establishment of Project Manager Cyber Warfare
On July 31, a pivotal shift in the Army’s approach to modern acquisition was formally recognized. During an Assumption of Charter Ceremony, Laurence Mixon, Deputy Capability Program Executive for Intelligence and Spectrum Warfare, presented the charter to Col. David Bergmann, officially establishing Project Manager Cyber Warfare (PM CW), under CPE ISW.
Army Launches Project Manager for Space Superiority and Exploitation
On July 31, the Product Manager for the Army Tactical Exploitation of National Capabilities (TENCAP) and the Product Manager for Tactical Space Superiority (PdM TSS) aligned under the newly created Project Manager Space Superiority and Exploitation (PM SSE), which operates under the Capability Program Executive for Intelligence and Spectrum Warfare (CPE ISW).
Rapid integration effort enhances monitoring capabilities for southern border security in record time
Through a collaborative effort between government and industry partners, the Product Lead Reconnaissance, Intelligence, Sensors, and Effects (PL RISE) rapidly installed and validated critical observation capabilities to support aerostats at a U.S. Border Patrol (USBP) site, significantly accelerating the operational timeline for enhanced aerial monitoring along the southern border.
Advanced Recon Training
Product Director Combat Terrain Information Systems (PD CTIS) trained Soldiers of the 390th Military Police Battalion (390th MP BN) at Camp Shelby, MS on advanced reconnaissance and mapping technology during Operational Sentinel Justice (OSJ).
Using the Instrument Set, Reconnaissance and Surveying (common name, ENFIRE) Kit and the Advanced Reconnaissance Kit – Military Police surrogate system, the Soldiers received hands-on training during high heat and humidity conditions.
